Orange County Supervisor of Elections Plans for Election Day
Empowering Voters, Enhancing Access: A Milestone in Electoral Transparency and Innovation
Orange County, FL (June 17, 2024) – The Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office is preparing for Tuesday’s runoff election for Orlando City Commission District 5. Early voting in this race concluded on Sunday, June 16 with 192 people voting early and 1,013 casting mail ballots as of 1:30 pm on Monday, June 17, 2024.
The two candidates on the ballot, Shaniqua "Shan" Rose and Travaris McCurdy, received the most votes in the May 21 general election, however, because neither candidate received more than 50% a runoff election was called.
On Tuesday, June 18 Supervisor of Elections Glen Gilzean will visit several polling locations before returning to the Orange County Elections Office for results at 7 PM.
There are five locations in Orlando’s District 5 for voters to cast their ballot.
