100% Accuracy! Orange County Supervisor of Elections Achieves 100% Accuracy in Back-to-Back Elections

Empowering Voters, Enhancing Access: A Milestone in Electoral Transparency and Innovation

Orange County, FL (June 26, 2024) – In Back-to-back elections the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office has achieved 100% accuracy in its records.

Staff at the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office recently finished the voting history process for the 2024 City of Orlando Special Runoff Election, fully reconciling records with 100% accuracy.

As part of this process, staff must account for every voter check-in versus every submitted ballot. Staff checks to make sure the number of ballots issued through early voting and the day of voting match the number of ballots counted. Additionally, staff checks to make sure the number of returned vote-by-mail ballots matches the number of ballots counted.

This detailed process ensures that every voter who wants to participate in the election has their ballot accurately counted and accounted for in the final tabulation.

“The many detailed processes we use before, during, and after an election are all designed to provide robust accuracy and transparency to the process,” said Orange County Supervisor of Elections Chief Information Officer Daniel Reis. “Fully reconciling all records after an election is another way we ensure that the system is working the way it was intended and that voters have the utmost confidence in their vote.”

As of today, all voter turnout and demographic reports have been uploaded to the SOE website: https://www.ocfelections.gov/election-record/2024-city-orlando-special-runoff-2024-06-18
